HOW TO PROTECT YOUR MINISTRY.
Welcome Guardians of the Flock;
Grace, Peace and Mercy be unto you. It is vitally important that we become, and stay sensitive to the risks facing ministries in this day and time. The level of criminal activity within and without the walls of our ministries seem to be ever increasing. We must accept the idea that “If you see something, say something” also applies to Houses of Worship, no matter the size or location. If you take the time to read the religious or secular news, you will note an alarming increase in assaults, burglaries, robberies and other criminal activity-taking place in and around the grounds of our ministries.
Protecting the Flock takes a bit more than a prayer. It also requires acting and walking in faith. It requires having the courage to turn over the tables of the Money Changers.
Houses of Worship are no longer considered "Off Limits" by the ne’er-do-wells targeting our communities and families. Our goal in this service blast is not to ask for anything or encourage you to sign up for something. The purpose of this message is to give. If you have not already established a security program in your ministry, we would like to give you a few simple steps to get started.
Starting a Ministry Awareness Program (MAP) does not have to be time consuming, challenging or deeply thought provoking. In fact, it will likely take you more time to read this message, than it will to initiate your team.

Here are five simple steps for navigating onto the safety highway using G-Square MAP:
- Recruit individuals in your ministry who are supportive of the MAP destination.
- Meet with the Pastor or other appropriate leadership to express your concerns and your willingness to be the driving force and ensure that MAP is consistent with his/her Vision for the ministry.
- Begin to patrol the building and grounds, ever vigilant for unsafe conditions and suspicious activities.
- Call 911 in an emergency.
- Be a Model, not a critic for the MAP Quest.
